When I started out, I had ideas and energy and almost nobody to build with. I wanted to learn from people years ahead of me: founders who had shipped, investors who had seen thousands of pitches, creators with real audiences. People who felt out of my league.
So I sent the messages. Most of them went unanswered. Not because people were unkind, but because there was no reason for them to notice someone just getting started. The few times I did end up in the right room, everything moved faster. One conversation saved me months. One introduction led to three more.
That's when it clicked. The gap between people starting out and people at the top isn't talent. It's access. I'm building Ventures Circle so that gap gets smaller: a place where someone on day one can sit next to someone on year ten, and both walk away better for it.
Nobody builds something great alone. We only get there together.
